This past week, I joined a John Maxwell Mastermind Group, organized by Vanessa Israel.   The purpose of a Mastermind Group is to gather together on a weekly basis in order to work through the material in one of John Maxwell’s books about leadership.

I just completed a 7-week Mastermind Group that met in January and February, also led by Vanessa Israel, on the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership.    I learned so much in that Mastermind Group that I decided to join this new one that covers the book “Everyone Communicates, Few Connect”.    We will meet for 10 weeks, and each week we will cover one chapter’s worth of material.

Here’s the process for each class.

1.   Read the chapter material for that particular week.

2.  Work through the exercises for that particular week.

3.   Come to the Mastermind Group and be ready to discuss the material and the exercises.

4.   Take away an assignment to be completed by the following week that utilizes what has been discussed.

In the next few days, I hope to add to this post a summary of the material we covered in the first week.   I look forward to this experience, and hope to get even more out of this Mastermind Group than I did the first one!
